Gariaband. Endowments and Religious Trusts, Culture and Tourism Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal took a meeting regarding organizing Rajim Kumbh Kalpa in Rajim. Officials and employees of Gariaband, Raipur, Dhamtari district along with public representatives, members of the fair committee and citizens participated in the meeting. In the meeting, Minister Shri Aggarwal said that Shri Ram Lala has returned home to Ayodhya after years. It is being celebrated as a festival all over the country. He also called for celebrating Rajim Kumbh Kalp as Ramotsav. He said that the grandeur of Rajim Kumbh will return again. And Rajim Kumbh Kalpa will be organized with great pomp and joy.
Rajim Kumbh Kalpa will be organized from 24 February to 8 March this year. During this period there will be three virtuous baths. A large number of Naga Sadhu Saints from across the country will also come to Kumbh. Minister Shri Aggarwal took information about the preparations being done by all the departments for the grand event of Rajim Kumbh Kalp and gave instructions to complete all the preparations within the stipulated time. Minister Shri Aggarwal directed the officials of Gariaband, Raipur, Dhamtari districts to coordinate and present the action plan for the preparations to be done by all the departments within 7 days. He said that the grandeur of Rajim Kumbh is returning after five years, hence world class saints Bageshwar Dham Baba Pandit Dhirendra Mishra and Pandit Pradeep Mishra will also come here.
Minister Aggarwal took information about the preparations from the PWD officer. After taking information about the ongoing work in the under construction road from Raipur to Gariaband including the road leading to Chhura, Jatmai, Ghatarani, Dhamtari road and Rajim Mahasamund, he gave instructions to complete the construction work and make it motorable. Besides, instructions were given to continuously sprinkle water to protect against dust flying on the roads. He also directed to ensure that there are no potholes in the roads leading to Rajim. The electricity department asked about lighting, transformers, generator arrangements, decorations, lighting in bridges, etc. during the Kumbh Mela. Also instructions were given to ensure adequate power supply. Instructions were given to the PHE department to provide adequate water supply at the fair venue and to construct about 300 toilets. Instructions were given to ensure adequate arrangements for water, tankers, tube wells etc. Asked the Forest Department to arrange sufficient firewood, hut construction and wood required for Yagya.
During the fair period, Minister Shri Aggarwal directed the transport departments of the four nearest districts to coordinate and run about 100 buses from all directions at different timings till 2 am. So that the people coming to the fair do not face any problem in transportation. Besides, instructions were given to ensure presence of home guard in the bus for security reasons. The Food Department was asked to operate adequate number of Dal Bhaat centres. Instructed the officials of the three districts to plan and open more than 100 Dal Bhaat centres. He also instructed to take cooperation from social institutions in this. So that the fair visitors do not face any inconvenience in eating and drinking. Minister Shri Aggarwal also gave instructions to clean the river by releasing water in Mahanadi. He took information about the progress of ghat construction and gave instructions to complete it expeditiously.
Minister Shri Aggarwal took information about health facilities in the fair in the meeting. CMHO said that there will be 24-hour medical arrangements in the fair. Minister Shri Aggarwal gave instructions to put adequate number of 108 ambulances and medical staff on duty. Instructions were also given to organize a health camp in the fair in coordination with the officials of the three districts. For smooth flow of traffic, he said that alternative routes should be adopted which would provide convenience to the people. After planning, adequate personnel should be deployed for the traffic and there should be 24-hour security arrangements at Naga Baba’s residence. Instructed the Revenue Department officials to appoint adequate number of Patwari, Tehsildar and Kotwar on duty. He also asked to make adequate arrangements for cleanliness. Instructions were also given to ensure painting of temples and shrines. The officials of the three districts were asked to arrange for the required number of fire brigades. If needed, instructions were given to call the necessary fire brigade from Bhilai Fort. Instructions were given to make arrangements for Dharamshala, Sarai etc. for the accommodation of saints. Instructions were given to make arrangements in nearby districts Raipur and Dhamtari also. Minister Shri Aggarwal directed to create a separate stage for presenting cultural programs of local artists in which the program will run from 11 am to 5 pm. In the meeting, Minister Shri Aggarwal also sought suggestions from the local public representatives for organizing the grand event of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa.
