CG NEWS: Package of Rs 55 lakh each to three NIT students
Raipur. Students Akshat Agarwal and Sonali Tiwari from Computer Science Engineering branch of NIT, Vedansh Tandon from Information Technology branch have secured PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) at Adobe Incorporated. Akshat has been offered the post of Software Development Engineer (SDE) with a PPO of 55 lakh CTC. He explained in detail about the summer internship process starting in the fifth semester, which consisted of an online assessment with two DSA questions. Vedansh also secured a two-month summer internship at Adobe. Sonali got a two-month summer internship, in which she played the role of a product intern and later secured a permanent position as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS).
Benefit from coding competition
Akshat said, my emphasis was based on concept building in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) which was achieved through continuous practice of coding problems and being active in coding competitions. I stressed the importance of confidently asking for clarification by asking questions to the interviewer when uncertainties arose in the interview. Also stressed the importance of building a supportive circle of friends and building positive relationships with seniors.
Communication skills came in handy
Vedansh said, the projects created by me were focused on machine learning and web scraping. Apart from this, I remained active in the clubs and committees of the institute. This developed communication skills. I got the benefit of this in confidence building during the interview.
Lessons learned from hackathon
Sonali said, participating in the hackathon was beneficial because it made it easier to solve complex problems. Juniors were advised not to blindly follow the strategic blueprint. Set realistic daily objectives towards your goal.
