CG NEWS: Mahtari Vandan: More than 1 lakh 81 thousand women applied on the first day

Raipur. More than 1 lakh 81 thousand women applied on the very first day to take advantage of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana launched by the Chhattisgarh government to promote women empowerment. There is huge enthusiasm among women regarding the financial assistance provided through the scheme. Today, more than 13 thousand applications were received in Raipur district, while in tribal areas of the state like Sukma also, 1592 women filled applications on the very first day.
Strong preparations were made by the district administration to ensure that women do not face any problem in filling the application. Collectors in all the districts had held a meeting of officials and directed that the work of taking applications should be completed in minimum time. To ensure that the process does not take much time, the administration had also appointed employees to explain the rules related to eligibility. Apart from this, employees have also been deployed to provide necessary documents at the time of application, so that the applicant’s application is duly completed and there is no problem in scrutiny.

There is an atmosphere of worshiping Mahatari everywhere in the state. When Lomeshwari Ojha, a resident of Rudri in Dhamtari, came to fill the form, she said that my small happiness will be fulfilled with this amount. I will be able to spend the money for my children also. Savita Sahu of Raipur told that she spends the gifts she gets from her parents’ house during Teej festivals as per her wish. In such a situation, Chief Minister Shri Sai also seems like a brother to me, who will give thousand rupees every month for Teej.
Teejbai Kamar of Special Backward Tribe of Baldakchhar of Kasdol development block said that today I reached Anganwadi center. Application has been submitted. I also work as a laborer and now I will also get the money for Mahtari Vandan. We all women are very happy and thank the government.

So many applications came from these districts – Today for Mahtari Vandan Yojana, 3226 from Balod, 523 from Balodabazar, 783 from Balrampur, 12503 from Bastar, 3863 from Bemetara, 710 from Bijapur, 9329 from Bilaspur, 3980 from Dantewada, 3682 from Dhamtari, Durg. 13997, 3723 from Gariaband, 20186 from Janjgir, 5367 from Jashpur, 2441 from Kanker, 5796 from Kawardha, 6836 from Kondagaon, 5101 from Korba, 2035 from Koriya, 7040 from Mahasamund, 3263 from Mungeli, 406 from Narayanpur, 15 from Raigarh. 30 , 13155 from Raipur, 8403 from Rajnandgaon, 1089 from Surguja, 1592 from Sukma, 13588 from Surajpur, 4605 from Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 1885 from Sakti, 1552 from Khairgarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 955 from Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh post, 1654 applications were filled from Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, 16656 applications were filled from Sarangarh-Bilaigarh.
