CG NEWS: Irregular officers met the Chief Minister regarding regularization and 10 point demand

Raipur Officials of Chhattisgarh irregular employees regarding regularization/permanence of irregular employees working in government offices of Chhattisgarh state, reinstatement of fired employees, giving minimum salary to low honorarium employees, converting part-time employees to full-time, closure of out sourcing/contract/service provider system. Again met the Honorable Chief Minister and submitted a memorandum and requested that action should be taken on the problems of irregular employees of the state before the Lok Sabha elections. The Honorable Chief Minister listened seriously to the officials and read the memorandum and assured to take necessary action.
It is known that employees of many departments are being retrenched citing lack of need and lack of budget, irregular employees of many departments are not receiving salaries for the last 3-4 months, salary hike has not been given for many years. Due to which the irregular employee is feeling insecure about his future.
It is noteworthy that in the government offices of the state, irregular employees like out sourcing (placement), service provider, contract, job, contract, daily wage earners, laborers working at collector rate, labor commissioner rate, honorarium, part-time, etc. have increased in the past 5, 10, Working for more than 15, 20, 25 years. These irregular employees are playing an important role in the development of the state. Despite doing similar work, they are forced to work for less than half the salary of a regular employee. At present their condition is worse than that of medieval bonded labour. Due to unemployment, economic insecurity, family responsibilities, administrative pressure, these irregular employees are silently suffering the injustice being done against them. Due to the above reasons, educated young men/women of the society are suffering from mental depression.
Chhattisgarh Irregular Employees Morcha, along with its 86 affiliated irregular organizations (numbering more than 3 lakh) is continuously fighting for its rights. Gopal Prasad Sahu convener, Shri Prem Prakash Gajendra, Vikas Paikra of silk department, Rajjan Ram from Korea, Bhuvan Chandra from Janjgir, Balram Baghel, Sonuram Nag from Bastar and Hemraj Dantewada were prominently included in the delegation.
