CG NEWS: Instructions to increase inter-district monitoring system to stop transportation of drugs
Raipur. Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh on Wednesday held a meeting of officers and employees in the Red Cross building of the Red Cross meeting room located in the Collectorate premises to stop the transportation of narcotic and banned drugs and take strict action. The Collector said that a campaign should be launched against drugs and all concerned departments should take maximum action. Superintendent of Police Shri Singh directed the departmental officers to coordinate with the officers of neighboring districts and increase inter-district surveillance to stop the transportation of drugs. He asked the Food and Drug Administration Department to take maximum action under the NDPS Act. Mr. Singh instructed them to take action by coordinating with the police department. He said that the Social Welfare Department officials should run public awareness campaigns to prevent drug abuse. Also instructed the Education Department officials to stop the sale of drugs around the school. In the meeting, the Excise Department was also instructed to take necessary action.
