CG NEWS: Illegal mining: 6 limestone crushers sealed, 6 cases also arrested

Raipur. On the instructions of the government, continuous action is being taken against illegal mining. For the third consecutive day, action was taken against firms and people involved in illegal mining and transportation in Bilaspur district. Six crushers of limestone were sealed in the district and six cases of illegal transportation were caught. In the last three days, 18 illegally operated crushers have been sealed.
Deputy Director of Mining Department said that on the instructions of the District Collector, the investigation campaign against illegal mining activities continued even on holidays. Mineral staff Bilaspur and revenue staff Takhatpur and Bilha inspected the limestone mines of Takhatpur on 4th February. Taking action on the basis of irregularities found in the investigation, 6 crushers were sealed. Thus, in the last three days, 18 crusher industries operating illegally have been sealed.
Due to non-submission of necessary documents by the operators of crushers installed in 6 low grade limestone mines in village Darri, Ghoramar and Belsara in Takhatpur tehsil under district Bilaspur, Shatrughan Chandrakar, Sunil Kumar Agarwal, Vishnu Prasad Agarwal, M/s Landmark Engineering, Pushpa Dubey and Ramkumar Khusro respectively. The reason was sealed.

Notice served to 7 for not following environmental conditions

4 coal temporary storage licensees approved in village Dhaurabhanta and Hardi under Bilha tehsil are Ganga Traders, Satyabhama Traders, Lakshmi Agency and Hanuman Coal Traders and 03 dolomite temporary storage licensees respectively, Shah Stone Supplier Partner Mr. Girish Kumar Shah, Shah Stone Supplier Prof. Harish Kumar Shah and Singh Stone Mines Prof. Due to Raghuraj Singh not following the environmental conditions and not depositing the land revenue, action was taken by the officials of the Environment and Revenue Department and a notice was issued.

6 cases registered against transportation without royalty

Mineral staff team inspected Darri, Kathakoni and Sakri areas under Bilaspur district today. In which 2 tractors of low grade limestone, 1 tractor of mineral sand, 2 highways and 1 highway transporting mud have been seized and kept in police custody at Sakri police station and Junapara outpost. In the investigation, a case of illegal mineral transportation has been registered due to all the vehicles transporting minerals without legal transit passes.
