CG News: Fraud case against Bhilai councilor

Bhilai. Supela police station has registered a case of fraud against Bhilai Municipal Corporation councilor and deputy chairman engineer Salman’s father Mohammad Subhan. Salman, resident of Shardapara Ward 35 Cantonment Bhilai, is accused of contesting the corporation elections by presenting fake caste certificate. Supela police has registered an offense against him under sections 467, 468, 71 and 420 for fraud, misuse of documents and deliberate forgery of documents. Bhilai Municipal Corporation Leader of Opposition Bhojraj Sinha and Ward 35 Shadow Councilor Chandan Yadav have lodged an FIR in this matter at Supela police station. He told the police that Municipal Corporation Bhilai elections were organized in the year 2021. In that, Engineer Salman had contested the election for the post of councilor by presenting fake and forged documents. On the basis of these fake documents, he has won the election from Other Backward Class reserved ward.
