CG NEWS: DMFD items should be used for public welfare works: Forest Minister Kashyap

Raipur. Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap said that DMFD items should be used for public welfare works for which there is no provision in the departmental budget. Health sector should be kept on priority under DMFT item so that better arrangements can be made for health. He also highlighted the need for electrification on river banks, Devguri renovation and empowerment of Panchayats. Besides, special attention should be paid to the quality of infrastructure construction works sanctioned under DMFD item and details of DMFD item works should be kept at the district level. Apart from this, state and central schemes should be operated smoothly. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap today reviewed the progress of works conducted under DMFT head for the financial year 2023-24 at Jagdalpur district headquarters. Along with this, the action plan for the financial year 2024-25 was discussed. The progress of department-wise work was reviewed in the meeting.
