Cg news : Deputy Chief Ministe Sao directs officials concerned to ensure completion of the works under Jal Jeevan Mission on mission mode

Raipur. Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering Minister Arun Sao chaired a meeting of senior department officials today and gave instructions to ensure completion of the ongoing works under Jal Jeevan Mission on mission mode. In the meeting held today at his residence office in Civil Lines, Raipur, Shri Sao directed all the Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers to conduct field inspections at the sub-divisional level and to regularly monitor the progress of the ongoing works. Shri Sao gave instructions to maintain proper drinking water system in all the districts during summer and to do the maintenance works concerning hand pumps and tap water schemes. Officials have been directed to take every possible measures to avoid any kind of malfunction that may interrupt drinking water supply.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao has given instructions to ensure regular supply of drinking water in all the villages during summer. The officials have been directed to arrange in advance all the materials required for repair and maintenance of hand pumps and tap water schemes. Chief Engineer of Public Health Engineering Department, Dr. M.L. Agarwal informed in the meeting that in view of the upcoming summer season, necessary materials for repair and maintenance of tap water schemes and hand pumps have been purchased and sent to all the districts as per the requirement. Chief Engineer of Raipur Zone of Public Health Engineering Department, Shri Rajesh Gupta, Superintending Engineer Shri Sameer Gaur, Chief Engineer in-charge of Bilaspur Zone Shri Sanjay Singh, Superintending Engineer of Ambikapur Shri Bhim Singh, Superintending Engineer of Durg Shri Sanjeev Bijpuriya, Superintending Engineer of Jagdalpur. Shri S.N. Chandra and Kondagaon Superintending Engineer Shri S.N. Pandey were also present in the meeting.
