Raipur. With the aim of promoting women empowerment, the state government will implement Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the state from March 1, 2024. Under the scheme, local residents and married women of Chhattisgarh state will be eligible. The age of the married woman should not be less than 21 years on 1st January of the calendar year of application i.e. the year in which the application is being made. Widow, divorced, abandoned women will also be eligible for the scheme. Under the scheme, Rs 1000 per month will be paid to the eligible woman through DBT. Women receiving pension from social assistance programmes, various pension schemes, if the pension amount is less than Rs 1000, the remaining difference will be paid. Registration of online and offline applications under Mahtari Vandan Yojana will start on 5 February 2024. The last date for receipt of applications is 20 February 2024. The provisional list will be released on 21 February 2024. Objections to the provisional list can be made from 21 to 25 February 2024. The objection will be resolved from 26 to 29 February 2024. The final list will be published on March 1, 2024 and the acceptance letter will be issued on March 5, 2024 and the amount will be transferred to the eligible female beneficiary on March 8, 2024.

To avail the benefit of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, self attested passport size photograph, residence certificate in case of local resident, ration card or voter identity card document, own and husband’s Aadhar card, if any, own and husband’s PAN. Card, marriage certificate, certificate issued by Gram Panchayat and local bodies will be required. In case of widowhood, death certificate of husband, in case of abandonment, certificate issued by society, ward, gram panchayat will have to be submitted. Birth certificate, mark sheet of class 10th or 12th or transfer certificate, PAN card, voter ID card, driving license will have to be submitted. The eligible beneficiary will have to submit bank account details and photocopy of bank passbook and self-declaration form and affidavit. To avail the benefits of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, eligible women can apply through online portal and mobile app. Apart from this, application can be made through the login ID of Anganwadi Centre, Gram Panchayat Secretary (Village Incharge), Child Development Project Office and Ward Incharge in urban areas. The entire process of filling the application form will be free. Application forms will be available in Gram Panchayat, Ward Office, Anganwadi Centre, Project Office and special camps organized by the district. The applications received will be entered online by the camp in-charge in the Gram Panchayat, Ward Office, Anganwadi Centre, Project Office and special camps organized by the district. Pre-printed acknowledgment will be given for each application, this acknowledgment will also be received by the beneficiary directly through SMS from the portal app. The provisional list will be published after receipt of applications by the prescribed date.

The final list will be released after resolving the objections. A separate list of ineligible beneficiaries will also be displayed on the portal. The acceptance letter will be issued to the eligible beneficiary by the village secretary and ward in-charge. This list will also be displayed on the portal. Payment of amount to the beneficiary: The amount will be paid to the eligible beneficiary in their Aadhaar linked DBT based bank account. If any objection is received regarding the beneficiary in future by the Objection Resolution Committee, it will be investigated. In case of ineligibility in the investigation, action will be taken to delete the name of the concerned beneficiary from the list. Action will be taken to recover the amount paid. The names of deceased beneficiaries will also be deleted from the final list after verification as information is received from time to time. The action of name deletion will be done by the Gram Panchayat Secretary and Ward In-charge.

For review and monitoring at the state level, a state monitoring and implementation cell will be established in the Directorate of Women and Child Development Department. For review and monitoring at the district level, a committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of the Collector, in which the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Joint Director Urban Administration and Development Department or their representatives and District e-Governance Manager will be members and the District Program The officer will be the Member Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, who will continuously review the scheme for intensive implementation. Women and Child Development Department will be the nodal department at the state level. District Collector will be the nodal officer in the district.
