CG NEWS: Action taken on complaint of selling liquor, alcohol found in search

Raigarh. In order to take action against illegal liquor, a joint team of Cyber Cell and Police Station Kharsia conducted a liquor raid in a cold drink shop in Ranisagar Chowk, where the police team seized country and English liquor and beer bottles kept for illegal sale from the accused. But action has been taken under the Excise Act.
According to the information, the Cyber ​​Cell team had received information from the informer that a person named Ramesh Patel was illegally storing and selling country and English liquor in his cold drink and water bottle shop near Ranisagar Chowk. On the instructions of senior officers, a joint team of Cyber ​​Cell and Kharsia Police conducted a raid. Suspect Ramesh Patel was found in the shop, who started talking here and there when interrogated regarding illegal sale of liquor. The shop was searched by the police team in front of the witnesses, in which 33 pavs of country plain liquor, 16 pavs of English liquor and 06 bottles of Hayward’s 5000 beer, worth about Rs 6060, were found in a sack inside the shop.
Illicit liquor was seized from the possession of accused Ramesh Patel, father Chhotalal Patel, age 40 years, Sakin village, Ranisagar police station, Kharsia district, Raigarh. Action has been taken against the accused under Section 34 (2) of the Excise Act in Kharsia police station.
