Raipur. Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Choudhary presented his handwritten budget speech in the Assembly today. This is the first time a handwritten budget has been presented in the state. He said that in the last budget our focus was on knowledge, this time we are focusing on speed.

New flight of development in the state

The Finance Minister said that now 14 medical colleges have been built in Chhattisgarh. People of Bastar and Surguja are now traveling by air and 76 flights are flying from Raipur. The state government has purchased 1 crore 50 lakh metric tonnes of paddy so far. The per capita income of the state has increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh. Chhattisgarh has now become a power surplus state. The land registration process will be easier, fake registrations have been stopped with the Sugam app. The state’s GDP has crossed 5 lakh crores.

100 pages budget speech, many big announcements
Metro rail between Raipur-Durg
The government is soon going to run a metro rail between Raipur and Durg, for which the survey will start.
Jobs for youth and improvement in education
Sub-engineers will be recruited in government departments.
A new medical college will be built in Dantewada with DMF funds.
12 new nursing colleges will open in Chhattisgarh, taking the total number to 20.
Budget of Rs 6 crore for six new physiotherapy colleges.
Rs 100 crore for upgrading ITI and polytechnic colleges.
Rs 5 crore for startup and entrepreneurship development.
Chhattisgarh moving towards Digital India
All villages of the state will be connected to mobile network.
Mukhyamantri Mobile Tower Yojana will be implemented.
Provision of Rs 10 crore for e-governance.
Rs 22 crore for CM helpline.
Digital services will be promoted in courts.

Big steps in infrastructure and transportation

Rs 2,000 crore for new roads.

Rs 100 crore for ring road in Raipur.

Construction of bridge in Dongargarh at a cost of 21 crores.

Rs 20 crore for maintenance of National Highway.

State Data Center will be established in Chhattisgarh.

Promotion of agriculture and rural development

Provision of Rs 10,000 crore under Krishak Unnati Yojana.

Rs 650 crore for landless agricultural laborers.

Sabko Awas Yojana at a cost of Rs 850 crore.

Rs 8,500 crore for PM Awas Yojana.

Culture and tourism will get a boost

Tourism will get the status of industry.

Rs 36 crore budget for Ram Mandir Darshan.

Rs 8 crore for Rajim Kumbh event.

Rs 11 crore for the development of Devpuri.

14 new galleries will be built to preserve tribal culture.

2025 will be celebrated as Atal Nirman Year.

New capital Nava Raipur will get big budget Medicity will be developed in 100 acres and Edu-City in 100 acres in Nava Raipur. This area will develop as regional offices of many banks, hospitals and electronic manufacturing clusters.  Lakhpati Didi Yojana will get a boost The government aims to make more than 8 lakh women Lakhpati Didi in the state. Under this scheme, women will get financial help for self-employment and entrepreneurship.

Worship at Shri Ram temple before budget Before presenting the budget, Finance Minister OP Choudhary worshiped at Shri Ram temple in Raipur and wished for the prosperity of the state. Budget size bigger than last year This is the second budget of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The first budget presented in 2024 was of Rs 1.47 lakh crore, which had the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the plan to make Chhattisgarh a developed state by 2047. This time the size of the budget is estimated to be more than Rs 1.60 lakh crore. Finance Minister OP Choudhary said that this budget is the next step of last year’s budget and its objective is to make Chhattisgarh a developed state by 2047 in line with Prime Minister Modi’s goal of developed India.
