This year’s theme, “8 Years of GST: Simplifying Taxes, Empowering Citizens,” highlights the transformative impact on businesses and individuals alike. Celebrations and awareness campaigns are taking place nationwide to underscore the significance of this landmark achievement.
Dehradun’s Cycling Marathon: Fitness and GST Awareness-To commemorate this occasion, the CGST Commissionerate in Dehradun organized a vibrant cycling marathon on Sunday, in collaboration with the Fit India Movement. The event was a fantastic way to promote fitness among employees while also spreading awareness about GST’s importance and benefits to the wider community. It was a win-win for health and financial understanding!
A Ride for Recognition: From Maharana Pratap Chowk and Beyond-The 5km marathon started at 6:30 AM from the iconic Maharana Pratap Chowk. The Principal Commissioner of GST, Shubh Chintan, flagged off the enthusiastic participants. The ride concluded at Maldevta Road, with participants arriving with energy and excitement, having completed the course.
Strong Participation: A Team Effort for GST Awareness-The event saw impressive participation from officers and staff of the Dehradun CGST Commissionerate and Audit Office, led by Additional Commissioners Arun Kumar Gupta, Nitin Wapa, and Joint Commissioner Vivekananda Maurya. Their collective enthusiasm played a key role in spreading awareness about the 8th GST Day’s theme.
Community Spirit: Dehradun Celebrates GST-The success of the marathon wasn’t solely due to government employees. The event was enriched by the enthusiastic participation of their families and local citizens. People from Dehradun, Haridwar, and the Audit Commissionerate came together to make this initiative a resounding success. The spirit of community engagement truly made the event special.
