Car going to a wedding ceremony in Devprayag crashed, sank in Alaknanda, 4 people missing

A major road accident took place in Devprayag, Uttarakhand. A vehicle going from Rishikesh to Gochar fell into the Alaknanda river near Bagwan. There were five people in the vehicle, out of which four people are missing and a woman has been rescued. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police and SDRF team reached the spot and started the rescue operation. The search for the rest of the missing people is on. According to the information, this family was a resident of Srinagar and was going to attend a wedding ceremony. This accident happened near Mulya village on Devprayag Srinagar road, where the vehicle went out of control and fell into the river. One of the five people in the vehicle, a woman, has been rescued safely and sent to the hospital. SDRF and police teams immediately started the rescue operation. The reasons for the accident are not yet known. The expert team of SDRF from Rishikesh has also reached the spot, which has accelerated the rescue operation.
On the other hand, another vehicle crashed near the ghat of Pithoragarh. One person died in this accident. The incident is said to have happened late at night. The police received information about the accident late at night, after which the SDRF team reached the spot. The vehicle lost control near the ghat and fell into a 150 meter deep gorge, in which two people were riding. One was sent to the hospital in an injured condition, while the other died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Ravi Kumar, who was a resident of Dhamod Aicholi village of Pithoragarh. After hard work, the SDRF team brought the body on a stretcher and took it to the main road.
