Indian benchmark equity indices opened higher on Friday, tracking gains from global peers. During this period, Nifty 50 reached record high for the fifth consecutive session. At 9.20 am, BSE Sensex was seen trading at 73,273, up 114 points or 0.16%. At the same time, Nifty50 was seen trading at 22,258 with a gain of 41 points or 0.18%.
Among Sensex companies, Titan, HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra, Wipro and Reliance Industries were among the gainers, while Bharti Airtel, Power Grid, Asian Paints, Axis Bank and Maruti declined in the market.
