Itarsi: On Monday afternoon, a passenger bus lost control and overturned near the Pathrota culvert on National Highway 46. As per reports, two people, including a woman passenger, lost their lives in the accident. As soon as the information came in, an ambulance and the Pathrota police rushed to the spot. Rescue operations were then launched, and school children along with other passengers stuck in the bus were pulled out safely. On hearing about the incident, SDM T. Prateek Rao, SDOP Virendra Mishra, and other officials reached the government hospital. Driver’s negligence, he fled the scene The bus, belonging to Chatrapal Pehelwan Dhaba Company and operating between Itarsi and the Ordnance Factory area, overturned due to the driver’s careless driving. The vehicle, bearing registration number MP 39 ZG 4118, was carrying several passengers to Itarsi. Unfortunately, two of them died and many others got injured. According to the police, the driver ran away after the accident.
