Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai directed strict action in Mungeli and GPM district in the review meeting
Raipur 19 May 2025: During Sushasan Tihar, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai took two major decisions by taking strict action against the officers who were negligent in their work. The Chief Minister directed to suspend Executive Engineer of Mungeli Water Resources Department R.K. Mishra with immediate effect. The Chief Minister clarified that important irrigation projects like Maniyari Reservoir and Patharia Reservoir have been incomplete for years, which is a clear evidence of negligence. Chief Minister Sai directed to remove District Education Officer Jagdish Kumar Shastri of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district from the post. The Chief Minister said that the extremely poor performance of the district in the board examination reflects the serious flaw in the education system in the district and such negligence will not be tolerated. It is clear from this sharp stance of Chief Minister Sai that the era of laxity in government work and avoidance of accountability is over.
