Certificates like real ones were being given from fake website in Bhopal!-Do you know how certificates looking like real documents were being distributed through a fake website? This is true! Birth and death certificates were being issued by deceiving people from a fake website created in the name of Bhopal Municipal Corporation. These documents also had digital signatures, which made them look absolutely real.
Fake website exposed-This website looked exactly like the real one. This made it difficult for people to understand whether it was fake or real. When the Municipal Corporation came to know about this fraud, they immediately lodged a complaint with the police.
Police engaged in investigation-After registering the FIR, the police have started investigating the IP address and hosting details related to the website. The technical team is trying to find out who created this website and from where it is being operated.
Digital Signature: A big concern-The certificates that were made through the fake website used digital signatures similar to the original ones. The question arises as to how and who obtained these signatures? The police is also investigating from this angle whether the data has been leaked from any system of the corporation.
