Big victory in Sukma encounter, security forces killed two prize-winning Naxalites
Gundarajgudem Encounter District – Sukma (CG) Date 02.03.2025: The Maoists killed in the Gundarajgudem encounter have been identified as female Maoist Sodi Linge ACM and male Maoist Podiyam Hadma ACM cadre active in Pamed Area Committee. The killed Maoists include hardcore Maoists with a declared reward of Rs. 10 lakhs. 01 BGL launcher, 01 12 bore rifle along with a large quantity of explosive material, Naxal literature and other items of daily use were recovered. Superintendent of Police Sukma Kiran Chavan informed that on 28.02.2025, in the anti-Naxal search operation, a joint party of District Sukma DRG and 203 CoBRA left for Gundarajgudem area on intelligence about the presence of top Maoists. During the operation on 01.03.2025 at around 09:00 am, an encounter started between Sukma DRG team and armed Maoists in the middle of the jungle hills of Gundarajgudem, which continued intermittently. After the end of the encounter, on searching by all the teams, the bodies of 02 (01 woman, 01 man) hardcore Maoists were recovered along with weapons and material. Name and designation of Naxalites killed in the encounter:-
01. Sodi Linge ACM (Area Padiyaro Pollo President) resident of West Bastar Bijapur area, reward of Rs. 5 lakh.
02. Podiyam Hadma ACM (Jantana Sarkar President) resident of West Bastar Bijapur, reward of Rs. 5 lakh.

04. 05 live rounds of 12 bore rifle.

Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range informed that Bastar Police and DRG/Bastar Fighters/STF/CAF/Central Armed Police Forces deployed in the area are continuously working with full dedication without caring for their lives to protect democracy and maintain peace in the area.
