EPFO issued new guidelines
EPFO has issued guidelines to correct the name, date of birth, under which SOP version 3.9 has been approved to update the profile of employees. After the new rule, documents will have to be submitted for update in UAN profile. At the same time, you can apply by giving declaration.

Divided into major and minor categories
According to EPFO, there are big difficulties in correcting many mistakes. This happens due to non-updating of data. That is why the guideline has been introduced. Under the new instructions, EPFO has divided the changes in the profile into major and minor categories.

At least two documents will have to be submitted for minor changes. At least three documents will have to be submitted for major corrections.
