Big news/ Police personnel will get week off, TI to constable will get relief

Raipur. Keeping in view the working nature and work pressure of the police employees, one day weekly holiday will be given to the police officers and employees posted from constable to inspector level posted in the plain areas.

According to the circular issued from the Police Headquarters, Chhattisgarh, the process of giving weekly leave has been decided for the police personnel posted in the companies of Chhattisgarh Armed Police Force deployed in the police station and the district.

For the personnel posted in the police station, initially one day weekly leave will be given to the officers/employees from constable to inspector level. Officers/employees of District Police Force posted in Naxal affected and inaccessible areas will be given 8 days leave once in 3 months instead of weekly leave.

The personnel posted in the police station will be given full 24 hours leave once a week after doing night duty. That is, if a policeman goes after doing night duty, he will be exempted from attendance on that day and till the morning count of the next day. This weekly leave will start after the night duty and will last till the morning count/rollcall of the next day.

Every Superintendent of Police will prepare a roster of personnel posted in police stations and outposts in their respective districts in such a way that every policeman knows which day he will have weekly holiday. That is, if holiday is given on Tuesday, then he will be given weekly holiday on every next Tuesday.

If due to any reason like VVIP visit and serious law and order situation, weekly leave is not given to every employee, then a maximum limit of one day will be deposited and it will be ensured that this facility is provided to him as much as possible in the same month. This holiday may be canceled due to security reasons in Naxal affected areas. In the above circumstances the decision of the unit head will be final.
