Big campaign against Maoism: More than 10 thousand soldiers remained stationed in Karregutta even on the sixth day

Jagdalpur: The major operation of the security forces is still going on for the sixth day after Maoist leaders were seen on the Karregutta hills near the Telangana border of Bijapur district. It is reported that about 350 Maoists including more than 50 big Maoist leaders are present there. It is being told that due to increasing pressure in Chhattisgarh, Maoist leaders are now trying to flee towards Telangana. Meanwhile, on the sixth day, there is news of three more Maoists being killed. During this, a jawan of the police team who left from the forward post of Galgam towards Karregutta was injured in an IED blast planted by the Maoists. Police say that the exact number of Maoists killed will be told only after the operation is over. However, an officer had earlier claimed that 42 Maoists have been killed so far, but it has not been officially confirmed yet. The operation will continue till the final result comes This is the biggest operation against Maoism in Chhattisgarh so far. Earlier, no operation had taken six days. Now it is clear that the security forces will not leave the field until the full result is achieved.

Maoist leader Madavi Hidma, Telangana Committee Secretary Damodar, Azad, Chandranje and more than 50 big Maoists have been reported to be hiding on the hill of Karregutta spread over about 250 square kilometers For this reason, more than 10,000 soldiers are reaching the Maoist bases by surrounding the hill from all sides.  Maoists have laid a large number of IEDs in the area On Saturday, the bomb squad has defused more than 50 IEDs. Along with this, every movement of the Maoists is being monitored through NTRO (National Technical Research Organization) satellite and more than 20 drones.  Special arrangements for the soldiers suffering from heat The area is experiencing extreme heat. On Friday, the fifth day of the operation, more than 40 soldiers fell victim to dehydration. Due to the black stones here, the temperature remains between 45 to 48 degrees Celsius. In view of the situation, essential supplies have been delivered to the force by the Air Force’s MI-17 helicopters. Water, ORS and medicines have been sent so that the soldiers can be saved from heat and dehydration. To ensure that the pace of the operation does not slow down, temporary camps have also been set up around Karregutta, where the soldiers can rest. Apart from this, in view of the long operation, the soldiers are also being exchanged so that fatigue does not affect the operation.
