Bhopal residents will soon get the gift of Metro train: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that our government is moving rapidly towards the goal of giving the unique gift of metro train to the people of Bhopal very soon (by October 2025). He said that passenger metro service has started in Indore. It has received a very good response from the public. The work of Bhopal Metro Train is also going on at a fast pace. Some work is left, which will be completed in one and a half to two months. He said that the test run of Bhopal Metro is going on. Bhopal Metro inspection has been completed by Research Design Standard Organization (RDSO). Soon the Commissioner, Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will come for inspection. As soon as permission is received from Commissioner Rail Safety, the priority corridor of Bhopal Metro Train will be opened for the general public. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the media on Sunday after closely inspecting the work of Bhopal Metro Train. On this occasion, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Smt. Krishna Gaur, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development and Housing, Shri Sanjay Dubey, social worker Shri Ravindra Yati, Shri Rahul Kothari, and officials of MP Metro Train Corporation Limited were present.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav rode the Metro Train Chief Minister Dr. Yadav rode the Bhopal Metro Train on Sunday and did its trial journey (test run). The Chief Minister took a test run in the three-coach Metro Train from Subhash Nagar Station to AIIMS and on the return from AIIMS to RKMP Station to know about the facilities and features present in it. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our government is moving rapidly to increase civic amenities. Prime Minister Shri Modi has gifted Metro Train to Indore and Bhopal city. Under his guidance, our government is preparing to inaugurate the Bhopal Metro Train soon. Describing the journey of the Metro Train as enjoyable, he said that we want to gift this enjoyable journey to every citizen of Bhopal as soon as possible. Before travelling in the metro, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav took information about the priority corridor of Bhopal Metro Rail. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also reached the Central Control Room (Command Center) of Metro Train established near Subhash Nagar Metro Station and from there obtained technical information about Metro Train operation. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Sanjay Dubey gave detailed information to the Chief Minister about the development events so far for the Metro Train.
Our target is to start the Metro Train by October 2025 After riding the Metro Train, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with the media at RKMP station and gave detailed information about the Bhopal Metro Train Project. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Bhopal Metro is a symbol of the progress of Madhya Pradesh. This project is being developed at a total cost of Rs 6941.40 crore. A priority corridor is being built from Subhash Nagar Station to AIIMS Station at an estimated cost of Rs 2225 crore. Its work is in the final stage. Our target is to start the operation of Metro Train in this Priority Corridor by October 2025. Our roadmap is ready to make both the corridors of Bhopal Metro (Orange and Blue Line) fully operational before the year 2030. He said that the design speed of Bhopal Metro will be 90 km per hour. Its operational speed will be 40-60 km per hour. It will take only 2 minutes between each metro station. The metro will have all kinds of modern facilities for passengers like escalators, lifts, Braille signage, pure drinking water, clean toilets and quick information. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is also preparing a completely inclusive infrastructure for the disabled in the metro train. There will be facilities for smooth movement for the disabled at all metro stations. He said that there will be a total of 27 state-of-the-art metro train sets for the Bhopal Metro Train Project, out of which 7 train sets have reached Bhopal. He said that not only will comfortable travel be possible with the metro, but it will also play an effective role in environmental protection and pollution control.
Preparations to start the entire section of Indore Metro by the end of this year Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also informed the media about the progress of the remaining works of Indore Metro Train. He said that Metro train services have already started in Indore. The government’s target is that the entire section of Indore Metro, from Super Corridor to Malviya Nagar Square (Radisson Square), should start by the end of this year. This will provide complete Metro train facility to the residents of Indore. He said that our government is committed to ensure that world-class Metro train service starts on time in Indore and Bhopal, so that the general public can get a simple, easy, smooth, better and safer means of public transport.
