National Minority Commission member Rinchen Lamhon held a meeting with religious leaders of minority community at VIP Rest House Bhopal regarding the government’s schemes for the welfare of minority community and redressal of their problems. On this occasion, religious leaders and social representatives of the society also expressed their views.
Assistant Director Mr. Anil Soni gave information about the schemes of the department. He informed that there is a provision to accept the affidavit on the basis of self-declaration by the students of minority community as caste certificate for the caste certificate issued for the minority community. Government of India’s notification has already been issued in this regard. Additional Collector Mr. Prakash Nayak informed that protection of the interests of minorities and implementation of government schemes is being done effectively. Commission member Lamhon informed that she has toured the entire country for the work of the commission. Very good work has been done in Madhya Pradesh as compared to other states. She praised the progress of Scholarship Scheme, Prime Minister Jan Vikas Program run by the department.
