Better performance is being done in institutional deliveries due to expansion of health services
Raipur. With the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and special efforts of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, better performance is being done in institutional deliveries due to expansion of health services by health centers. In Ayushman Arogya Mandir located in Gram Panchayat Karhibazar of Balodabazar Bhatapara development block, 129 deliveries have taken place from January this year till now, which is an average of 16 per month. Whereas the target is 3 per month. In this way, five times more deliveries are taking place in Karhibazar Health Center every month than the target. Which shows the trust of the people towards government institutions. In a delivery done in Ayushman Arogya Mandir a few days ago, normal delivery of 26-year-old Mrs. Pitar Patel, a pregnant woman resident of village Keshala, with a four kg baby was done. Her husband Harkumar Patel told that he works as an agricultural laborer and this is the third child of his wife. Necessary checkups were done in between and we also went to a private hospital. But then we contacted the health center of Karhibazar where the health worker gave necessary medicines and advice and we have been going for checkup from time to time. After delivery, both mother and child are healthy now.
In this regard, Block Medical Officer of Bhatapara, Dr. Rajendra Maheshwari said that due to the high weight of the child, there can be a risk of excessive bleeding, pelvic deformity, uterus slipping down during delivery. In such a situation, normal delivery in the health center is an achievement which also saved the family from any possible trouble. Shakun Banjare and Vikram Sharma are serving as Rural Health Coordinator and Asha Diwakar Community Health Officer in the said health center.
It is worth noting that under the direction of Collector Deepak Soni, the district administration had appointed health workers in many centers from the District Mineral Trust Fund with the aim of providing the facility of delivery to the citizens in Ayushman Arogya Mandir itself and increasing institutional delivery, which is getting good results.
