On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, Deputy Chief Minister Shukla has appealed to the people of the state to strengthen this humanitarian campaign by donating blood in maximum numbers. Blood donation is like giving life to a person. He called upon people to make blood donation a part of their lifestyle and participate in this sacrifice of humanity by donating blood regularly. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that blood donation is not just blood, but a symbol of hope, faith and life. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla has praised the active role of technician Parmal Singh Rathore working in Alirajpur Blood Bank in making blood donation a public movement. He said that dedicated health workers like Rathore are the true heroes of our society. Who made blood donation a public movement. The ideal of dedication, transparency and service that he has presented is an inspiration for the entire health system. Alirajpur became self-reliant in blood donation by supplying more than 18 thousand units of blood in 5 years It is noteworthy that technician Rathore made blood donation a mass movement in the district with dedication and exemplary service in Alirajpur Blood Bank. Rathore, who left his job in the Army and joined the Health Department, made the entire district self-reliant in the field of blood donation by supplying more than 18 thousand units of blood in the last 5 years. He renewed the license of the blood bank and also arranged the records of more than 10 years in digital form. Whether it is midnight or remote area, his first duty was to provide life-saving blood to the patients. With his efforts, more than 700 blood donors were successfully registered and more than 2 thousand units of blood were collected under one roof. With this achievement, Alirajpur district became an excellent example of public interest in the entire state.

7 lakh 61 thousand units of blood were collected in the state in the year 2024-25 At present, a total of 174 blood centers including 67 government ones are operating in Madhya Pradesh. In the year 2024-25, 5 thousand 283 blood donation camps were organized across the state, in which 7 lakh 61 thousand units of blood were collected. In this, 7 lakh 41 thousand 460 men and 20 thousand 323 women donated blood voluntarily and gave new energy to the society. This collection is about 2 lakh units more than in the past years, which is a proof of the public awareness and service spirit of the state. Replacement free and free blood is being made available to pregnant women, patients suffering from sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, hemophilia, cancer and other serious diseases in the state. To ensure easy availability of blood even in remote areas, 118 blood storage units have been identified and made functional at the block level. Also, to reduce the risk of infection, 84 thousand 074 units of blood were tested by NAT technology in the year 2024-25 and safe blood was made available. Operation of 25 blood component separation units has also been started in the blood centres of the state.
