Ban on VIP darshan for first 15 days in Chardham Yatra

Keeping in view the convenience of common devotees during Chardham Yatra, there will be a ban on VIP darshan for the first 15 days. After the approval of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also informed the Chief Secretaries of all the states by sending a letter on Wednesday. An appeal has been made to everyone that VIPs should avoid visiting the four Dhams from 10th to 25th May.

Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that following the instructions of the Chief Minister, a letter has been sent by the Chief Secretary to the Chief Secretaries of all the states. An appeal has been made that VIP darshan should be avoided as much as possible in the first 15 days of the yatra. Especially, darshan should be avoided in Kedarnath Dham, so that common devotees do not have to face any kind of problems in darshan.

Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that to avoid incidents like black marketing and fraud of heli services tickets during Chardham Yatra, this time there is a system of booking tickets only from the official website of IRCTC.
