Ayurveda is the authentic way to live a better life at every stage of life: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has said that the aim of living for hundred years can be achieved through Ayurveda and the spirit of “Jivate Sharad: Shatam” can be proved. Ayurveda is the authentic way to live a better life at every stage of life. God has given medicine for every disease in nature itself, the maximum knowledge of this fact and the ability to put it into practice is contained in Ayurveda. With the knowledge of plants and the ability of yoga, a person can follow the path of staying healthy. Ayurveda is a tradition of thousands of years, the whole world is ready to follow it and India is the ambassador of the discipline of Ayurveda. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made a significant contribution in expanding this discipline of Indian knowledge tradition at the global level. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while inviting to organize the next Ayurveda festival on the occasion of Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain, said that the state government will organize this festival. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the national seminar under the 21st Ayurveda festival-2025 on Monday.

11 Ayurvedic colleges will be started in the state

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that 11 Ayurvedic colleges will be started in the state. As per the provisions of the new education policy, the state government has given permission to universities to run all types of courses including Ayurvedic, Medical. Arrangements will be made to run paramedical, nursing etc. courses in Ayurveda. The work of registration of clinics and nursing homes related to AYUSH will be handed over to the AYUSH department. Like the Health Department, the retirement age in AYUSH will also be 65 years. All India Ayurveda Institute will be started in Ujjain. Necessary amendments will be made in the purchase policy of the AYUSH department and it will be simplified. The state government will provide assistance for setting up a unit of Ayurvedic products in the state. For Simhastha in Ujjain, land will also be provided to Ayurvedic institutions for permanent construction. On the suggestion of Maharishi Vedic University, cooperation will be considered by the state government in setting up an International Vedic Court in Ujjain. There will also be a provision to study Unani system of medicine in Hindi.

The implementation of river linking campaign is happening first in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is known as a tiger state. The state is continuously prospering in terms of wildlife. Madhya Pradesh is the home of rivers, the Narmada originating from here goes to Gujarat, Tapti goes to Maharashtra and Gujarat, Chambal goes to Uttar Pradesh via Rajasthan and Ken-Betwa also makes Uttar Pradesh prosperous. It is a matter of pride that the implementation of river linking campaign is happening first in Madhya Pradesh in the country. Prime Minister Shri Modi has released an amount of 1 lakh 75 thousand crores to make the dream of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee come true.

State government committed to encourage research in Ayurveda– Minister Shri Parmar

Minister of AYUSH, Technical Education and Higher Education Mr. Inder Singh Parmar said that special efforts are being made by the state government to encourage research in Ayurveda. MLA Mr. Bhagwan Das Sabnani said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Modi, India has also inspired people of developed countries to adopt a healthy lifestyle based on the medicines mentioned in Ayurveda. Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan Mr. Devendra Triguna suggested developing centers of Ayurveda, Yoga, Panchkarma, etc. at places like Pachmarhi and Ujjain in the state. Vaidya Mr. Manoj Nesari said that there is a need to take initiatives to connect AYUSH with technology. Director of Maharishi Vedic University Dr. Girish Chandra Verma suggested developing necessary arrangements to provide health education to students from school to higher education level.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured the hard working and expert Vaidyas of Ayurveda

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav digitally inaugurated the national seminar by performing Dhanvantari pujan and lighting the lamp. He also released the souvenir published on Arogya Parv. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honored the hardworking and expert Vaidyas of Ayurveda field and gave appointment letters to the lecturers selected by Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. In the program organized by All India Ayurveda Maha Sammelan in collaboration with the state’s Ayush Department, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed by presenting a medicinal plant, urn and angavastram. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inaugurated and observed the Arogya Mela on this occasion.

Principal Secretary AYUSH Mr. D.P. Ahuja, President of Madhya Pradesh Ayurveda Conference Vaidya Vinod Bairagi, CEO of Dhootpapeshwar Pharmaceuticals Mr. Ranjit Poranik and Principal of Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurveda College Dr. Umesh Shukla were present in the program.
