Approval of plans and construction works worth Rs. 3,867 crore

Bhopal: On the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, a cabinet meeting was held in the Darbar Hall of Rajwada in Indore under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, dedicated to the ideals and values โ€‹โ€‹of her. The cabinet approved plans and construction works worth Rs 3,867 crore. The cabinet gave in-principle approval to the Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Prashikshan Karyakram Yojana to provide employment to the youth of the state. Under this scheme, skill development programs will be conducted for the youth. Under the scheme, the needy person will be able to get a discount of Rs 1,000 per year on bank interest and a maximum of Rs 10,000 per person for the entire lifetime on loan interest. About Rs 100 crore will be spent on the scheme every year.

Approval of Madhya Pradesh Metropolitan Area Planning and Development Act- 2025

The Council of Ministers has decided to approve the “Madhya Pradesh Metropolitan Area Planning and Development Act-2025”. After the implementation of Act-2025, “Metropolitan Planning Committee” and “Metropolitan Area Development Authority” can be constituted. Also, Metropolitan Planning Committee and Metropolitan Area Development Authority can be constituted by the state government for “Indore-Ujjain-Dewas-Dhar” and “Bhopal-Sehore-Raisen-Vidisha-Biaora (Rajgarh)” in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had announced to constitute “Metropolitan Planning Committee” and “Metropolitan Area Development Authority” by the State Government as per the provisions laid down in the Indian Constitution, keeping in view the overall development of cities with a population of more than 10 lakh at the regional level. The Metropolitan Area Development Authority will prepare a draft development plan for the “Metropolitan Area” and send it to the State Government for approval of the development plan from the Metropolitan Planning Committee. After the State Government approves the development plan of the metropolitan area, the implementation of the development plan will be done by the Metropolitan Area Development Authority. In the development plan of the metropolitan area, development will be possible in educational, industrial, health etc. areas as per the geographical requirement of such an area, so that employment and economic development will be possible.

Approval of continuation of Chief Minister Urban Sanitation Mission Program till financial year-2028-29

The Council of Ministers approved the continuation of the Chief Minister Urban Swachhata Mission Program till the financial year 2028-29. In this, the expenditure of state share of Rs 167 crore 74 lakh and body contribution of Rs 59 crore 31 lakh for the next 4 financial years 2025-26, 2026-27, 2027-28 and 2028-29 is estimated, a total amount of Rs 227 crore 5 lakh. The amount in the scheme will be used to make the urban bodies of the state technically capable by providing grants for de-sludging vehicles for transporting sludge coming out of septic tanks, cleaning equipment for cleaning sewer lines, vehicles for collection and transportation of solid waste and personal protective equipment and PPE kits for Safai Mitras working in urban bodies. The Chief Minister Urban Swachhata Program was started on 28 August 2012 by integrating all the activities of urban cleanliness operated at the state level.

Approval for construction of working women hostels in 04 industrial areas of the state at a cost of Rs 249 crore 66 lakh

The Council of Ministers has approved the construction of Working Women Hostels at a cost of Rs 249 crore 66 lakh in 04 industrial areas of the state to increase the female labor force participation rate in the state, provide better environment and make the working life of women easier. A total of 26 hostels and buildings will be constructed under working women hostels in Vikram Udyogpuri District Ujjain, Pithampur Sector-1 and 2 District Dhar, Malanpur Ghirongi (Bhind) and Mandideep (Raisen). Each will have a capacity of 222 beds. Thus, hostels with a total capacity of 5 thousand 572 beds will be constructed by MPIDC Ltd. under the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion with the cooperation of the Government of India. Working Women Hostels are to be constructed under the “Special Assistance to Status for Capital Investment 2024-25” scheme by the Government of India.

Working women hostels will have modern facilities, adequate parking, food court and space for entertainment and cultural activities. Priority will be given to safety, security and availability of job opportunities for women in working women hostels. Food will be provided at concessional rates and beds at minimum rent. Basic infrastructure facilities like parking, recreational room, pantry, dining area, common toilets, commercial shops etc. will be built. Provision of crรจche has also been made for proper care of children of working women.

Revised approval of more than Rs 2195 crore for construction of Acharya Shankar Museum “Advaita Lok”

The cabinet has approved the revised cost of Rs 2195 crore 54 lakh for providing exemption in index for the works to be done under Ekatma Dham Project in Omkareshwar and for the construction of Acharya Shankar Museum “Advaita Lok”. Advaita Lok (museum), Acharya Shankar International Advaita Vedanta Institute, Advaita Nilayam, Project Information Center, Shankar Setu and Abhay Ghat will be constructed with this amount.

Administrative approval of more than Rs 1095 crore for the upgradation of Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital Complex Indore and Shyam Shah Medical College Rewa

The cabinet has given administrative approval of Rs 1095 crore for the upgradation of Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital Complex Indore and Medical College Rewa. According to the approval, the proposed new hospital building, mini auditorium, nursing hostel, parking and external development work etc. will be constructed at Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital Complex affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Smriti Medical College, Indore at a cost of Rs 773 crore 7 lakh. Rs 321.94 crore has been approved for OPD block, maternity block, staff quarters, nursing college and hostel and other works in Shyam Shah Medical College in Rewa.
