Anurag Jain took charge as Chief Secretary
Bhopal. Anurag Jain, an Indian Administrative Service officer of 1989 batch, took charge as the 35th Chief Secretary of the state government in the Ministry today. Senior officers presented bouquets to Chief Secretary Mr. Jain.
Chief Secretary Mr. Jain was born on 11 August 1965 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. After joining the Indian Administrative Service, Mr. Jain’s first posting was as Assistant Collector in Sagar in June 1990. A multi-talented person, Mr. Jain has educational qualifications B.Tech. Engineering and M.A. Public Administration (USA).
Chief Secretary Mr. Jain held the post of Collector in Mandla, Mandsaur, Bhopal districts. Mr. Jain discharged the responsibilities of various departments as Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary in the Madhya Pradesh Government. Chief Secretary Mr. Jain also held important posts on deputation in the Government of India.
