Anubhuti program on the theme “I am also a tiger” and “We are change” at Van Vihar National Park-Zoo

Bhopal: The Forest Department organized an Anubhuti program on Thursday to make school students aware of forest, wildlife and environmental conservation. In the program, a camp was organized on the theme “Main bhi Baag” and “Hum hain badlaav” in coordination with Madhya Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board. 99 girl students and 3 teachers of Government Naveen Kanya Vidyalaya, Tulsi Nagar, Bhopal participated in it.
The students who attended the camp were given Anubhooti book, Anubhooti bag, cap and brochures. Brochures on aquatic birds, terrestrial birds, butterfly species and vulture key were also given. The students were given information on bird watching, wildlife watching, nature trail walking and forestry activities along with food chain by the master trainers and new motivators. The students were made aware of interesting activities related to forest, wildlife and environment through games like food bag and food chain. The students were shown a film on tiger in the camp. It was told through the film that how important tigers are in our lives.
In the camp, the students were made aware of the process of rescuing wild animals by the rescue team through the rescue vehicle available in the forest resort. As trainers of the Anubhuti program, retired Deputy Forest Conservator Dr. S.R. Waghmare and biologist of the forest resort Mr. Vijay Babu Nandvanshi gave detailed information to the students about forests and wild animals. The students participating in the Anubhuti program were sworn in to protect the environment. Prizes and certificates were given. The next “Anubhuti” program will be organized on 23rd January. On this occasion, Director of the forest resort Mr. Meena Awadhesh Kumar Shivkumar, Assistant Director Mr. Sunil Kumar Sinha, ACF Mr. Sandeep Maheshwari and officials of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Board were also present.
