Animal husbandry became easy with the Chaff cutter machine
Bhopal. Sixteen animals… their upbringing… It would take from morning to evening to feed and water the animals several times a day. The work was tedious, but Lokesh had to do it reluctantly. The biggest difficulty was in cutting the fodder and feeding the animals. But now this difficulty is no more. Lokesh has got a fodder cutter machine under the government scheme. This has made it very easy for Lokesh to cut the fodder.
Lokesh Bhalode, a resident of Bahadurpur village in Burhanpur district, is a farmer. He has 16 animals, big and small. He prepares fodder for these animals at home. It used to take a lot of time to bring fodder for the animals, cut it, serve it and feed the animals. One day Lokesh came to know that the Animal Husbandry Department provides fodder cutter machines to animal keepers on subsidy. Lokesh contacted the department. After some formalities, Lokesh got a ‘Power Driven Chaff Cutter Machine’ under the ‘Rashtriya Pashudhan Mission’ scheme.
Lokesh’s work has become very easy with the use of the chaff cutter machine. He is feeding the animals fodder by chopping it with this machine. Lokesh does not have to go far to cut fodder now. This machine is not only saving his time and capital, but animal fodder is also not wasted now. His animals eat the fodder prepared by this machine with great relish. This is also strengthening their digestive system. Lokesh hopes that by eating the fodder prepared by the machine, his milk production will also increase.
Lokesh tells that this fodder cutter machine has been given to cattle keepers in many villages of Burhanpur and Khaknar blocks. But he is getting the most benefit from this machine. Lokesh tells that the retail price of this fodder cutter machine is Rs 22,800. The government has given him this machine with a subsidy of Rs 12,000.
