Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that architects have had special importance since ancient times. Raja Bhoj himself was a great architect. Many examples of ancient architecture including Bhopal Lake exist in and around Bhopal. Bhopal Lake is basically a dam. Built a thousand years ago, this amazing and unmatched structure is still relevant and useful for a large population. This structure, built with frugality and technical excellence, is a living example of the ancient rich knowledge tradition, which is still relevant today. From this point of view, the Architects Conference being held in Bhopal is of special importance. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the national conference “Transom” organized in the Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium of “The Indian Institute of Architects”. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honored Dr. Nidhipati Singhania with the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) Fellowship for incorporating heritage in architectural excellence while encouraging architectural innovation.
Addressing the architects as Vishwakarma brothers, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that many secrets exist in temple architecture and worship methods. Bhasma Aarti is a project to show the journey of life from birth to death in a concise form. The 
Bhojpur temple built by Raja Bhoj and the structures built by his elder brother Raja Munj in Mandu are examples of the excellent architecture of that time. These symbols of excellent technology are also the basis of pride and self-respect on our culture. He said that Raja Bhoj was an expert in many disciplines, he also wrote books on various subjects. His capital was Ujjain but to protect the citizens from the attacks from the north, Raja Bhoj established his capital in Mandu and also built excellent water structures there.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is changing in this era, there are immense possibilities of expansion of industrial and business activities in the state. The geographical location of the state, climate, friendly behavior of the general public, infrastructural facilities like road, electricity and water make the state an ideal state for investment. With the aim of ensuring that businessmen and industrialists do not face any problems in work, sector-specific policies have been implemented along with ease of doing business. Metropolitan cities are also developing rapidly in the state, five districts are being developed by connecting big cities like Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur. In the same sequence, there is a plan to develop metropolitan cities by combining Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Dhar, Shajapur. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav invited architects to expand activities in Madhya Pradesh.
In the program, it was informed that the institution “The Indian Institute of Architects” was established in the year 1917, its headquarters is in Mumbai. The institution has an important role in promoting architecture by organizing the architects of the country. This institution is in constant coordination and contact with various national and international organizations related to architecture and building construction. The conference of the institution is seen as the biggest architecture festival of India.
