All seats of Global Skill Park should be filled: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that by establishing the brand value of Global Skill Park, it should be ensured that all the seats here are filled. A publicity campaign should be conducted on a wide scale focusing on all the technical courses being run in the Skill Park, their utility and employment potential. Arrangements for skill training should be ensured as per the demand of the existing industries in the state and the cooperation of the private sector should also be taken in providing training to the youth. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave instructions to ensure the availability of ITI in every development block of the state. He said that activities should be conducted in coordination with the industrial units existing at the local level to provide training to the students of ITI and Polytechnic. This will ensure the availability of employment for the youth at the local level. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave these instructions in the review of the Department of Technical Education, Skill and Employment. Technical Education Minister Mr. Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment (Independent Charge) Mr. Gautam Tetwal, Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura and other departmental officers were present in the meeting held at Samatva Bhawan (Chief Minister’s residence).
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Department of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment has an important role in training the youth for self-employment, entrepreneurship and employment. He expressed dissatisfaction towards the progress of the schemes and programmes run by the department. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that result-oriented activities should be conducted by setting targets and time limits for skill development of the youth and employment-oriented programmes for them.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are ample employment opportunities available for persons proficient in German and Japanese languages. He directed that proper arrangements should be made in the state for training in those languages which have more employment opportunities. He also directed to ensure effective arrangements for providing practical training to the youth by connecting technically proficient universities and private sector industrial units. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this will provide skilled and efficient human resources to the industries of the state as per their requirement and the youth will be able to get employment at the local level. In the meeting, the skill development policy, merger of employment offices and skill development, Aarambh Shruti program for identifying local and traditional methods were also reviewed.
