All political parties should appoint BLA: Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Singh
Bhopal. Chief Electoral Officer Sukhveer Singh held a meeting with the representatives of recognized national political parties at the Election House on Tuesday and gave them detailed information regarding the Special Summary Revision of the Photo Voter List-2025. In the meeting, the representatives of recognized national political parties were also provided a CD of the draft publication of the voter list.
Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Singh informed that the preliminary publication of the draft voter list has been done on October 29. From this day onwards, the process of adding names in the voter list, making amendments in voter ID cards and removing the names of dead voters has been started. This process will continue till November 28, 2024. On the upcoming 9, 10 and 16, 17 November 2024, a campaign will be run by setting up special camps across the state. BLOs will be present at all 65 thousand 15 polling stations in the state during office hours. All the claims and objections received will be resolved by November 24. The final publication of the voter list will be done on 6 January 2025. In the meeting, CEO Mr. Singh urged the representatives of all recognized national political parties to appoint their respective BLA (Booth Level Agent) for all polling stations. If BLA is appointed, then direct them to be more active.
Additional Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Rajesh Kumar Kaul, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Basant Kurre, Mr. Vivek Shrotiya, Mr. S.S. Uppal from Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. J.P. Dhanopia from Indian National Congress Party, Mr. Sumit Chauhan from Aam Aadmi Party and Mr. Purnendra Ahirwar from Bahujan Samaj Party were present in the meeting.
Apply to add name in voter list those who are completing 18 years of age on 1 January 2025
Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Sukhveer Singh said that the youth who are completing 18 years of age on 1 January 2025 can apply in advance to get their name added in the voter list. Voter ID card of new voters will easily reach their homes through speed post.
Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Singh informed that Election Commission of India has provided both online and offline free facilities for adding name in voter list. Online application can be done through Voter Helpline App and https://voters.eci.gov.in/. For offline application, Booth Level Officer (BLO) can be contacted. For any kind of doubt or information regarding adding name in voter list, solution can be obtained by calling Election Helpline toll free number – 1950 during office hours.
