After 50 years, bus service started in the Naxal stronghold of Pamed area

Raipur 3 February 2025: An area of Bijapur district, which was once called the capital of Naxalites, is now rapidly moving towards development on the strength of the strong will of the government and the hard work of the soldiers. Where two-wheelers were once barely seen, now after 50 years, passenger bus service has been started in that area. Bus facility is being available in the entire area including 7 gram panchayats of that area including Pamed of Usur block, situated on the border of Bijapur and Telangana. Here, within the last 4 months, development work has gained such speed that now the basic facilities have been expanded in this area along with roads and camps, while the biggest gift is the passenger bus service for the villagers of this area. Due to the operation of this bus, now the villagers of those areas do not have to take the trouble of going to their villages through Telangana, but are reaching Pamed directly from Bijpur. Villagers of Pamed area will get basic facilities under Niyyad Nellnar: According to Bijapur Collector Sambit Mishra, under the government’s ambitious scheme Niyyad Nellnar, development work will be accelerated along with basic facilities in those areas. All the facilities for which the villagers were yearning for 50 years will be provided to them. Apart from Aadhar card and ration card, ration shops are also being operated in the village for the villagers of Pamed area. Actually, Pamed is the area where everything from salary to newspapers was sent by helicopter for the posted soldiers, but now with the construction of road and the start of bus service, this difficult journey of the soldiers has ended.

The area was under the control of Naxalites, now development is taking place. It is not that there was no road in Pamed area, rather the road was built even 50 years ago. But vehicles were not operated, after that gradually Naxalites increased their penetration in this area and took over the entire area due to which that area came to be known as the capital of Naxalites, but now this area has been included in the government’s development project. Because camps were set up in this area, roads were expanded and basic facilities are also being expanded. In such a situation, now facilities are being provided to the people by rapidly reaching development works in the Pamed area. So that the villagers can get away from the sting of Naxalism and take advantage of the ambitious schemes of the government. The bus going to Pamed from Bijapur in the morning reaches Pamed via Awapalli, Basaguda, Tarrem, Chitragellur, Gundem Kondapalli Jeedpalli Karvagatta and Dharmaram. A large number of passengers have started traveling in it daily. The government is committed to expand development works in these areas, but today if this entire area is moving towards development.
