Action continues in local bodies on illegal sale of meat and fish

All the urban bodies of the state are taking action on a large scale against the meat and fish vendors who sell meat and fish in the open and violate the rules. On Monday, action was taken against a total of 651 sales centers in all 413 urban bodies including 16 municipal corporations, 99 municipalities and 298 municipal councils of the state. The urban bodies took action against the concerned and also collected a fine of Rs 76 thousand 400. The maximum fine of Rs 28 thousand 250 was collected by the urban bodies of Jabalpur division. Apart from this, legal action was taken against illegal sale of meat and fish on a large scale in all the divisions.

It is noteworthy that on the instructions of the Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department and the Departmental Commissioner, after taking action against those violating the rules and illegal sale of meat and fish, its information is being updated daily in Google Sheet by all the urban bodies.
