On 15th August, two films of actor Abhishek Banerjee were released. One of them was ‘Stree 2’ and the other was ‘Veda’. ‘Stree 2’ is running fast in the box office race and ‘Veda’ has slowed down. After the success of ‘Stree 2’, Abhishek Banerjee’s stars have also risen and he has started getting offers for lead roles.
Abhishek Banerjee told News 18 in a recent interview that he got three lead role offers last week. Talking about this change in his career, Abhishek said that earlier he did not get offers for such roles, but now it has started happening suddenly. Earlier he used to get low budget offers.
Abhishek Banerjee said that he will first read all the roles he has been offered and only then will he decide what he wants to do. He stressed that this makes a lot of difference to the career. He said that he wants to work in films that entertain people.
Talking about the issue of one film doing well and the audience staying away from the other, Abhishek said that people already knew about the characters of ‘Stree 2’ because they had seen them in the first part and it is also a big film. While speaking on Veda, Abhishek said that Nikhil has made a good film and he has also seen people clapping at the end of the film. Regarding the performance of both the films at the box office, Abhishek said that it is a bitter-sweet experience overall.
