Van Samman: A Green Revolution in Chhattisgarh-This initiative isn’t just a government program; it’s a people’s movement. Let’s explore how Chhattisgarh is changing the way we think about environmental conservation.

Honoring the Guardians of Our Forests-The ‘Van Samman’ campaign in Mungeli district, Chhattisgarh, celebrates individuals and organizations dedicated to environmental and forest conservation. This initiative aims to raise awareness and foster a sense of responsibility towards nature.

Reclaiming the Forest: Removing Illegal Encroachments-A joint team from the forest, revenue, and police departments cleared illegal occupation in the Lorami block’s Kansra village. Approximately 30 acres of forest land were freed from encroachment, removing temporary and permanent structures.

Reforestation: Bringing Back the Green-Following the clearance of illegal encroachments, the forest department is actively restoring the land. They are working swiftly on tasks such as digging pits, fixing poles, and fencing to prepare for extensive tree planting, restoring the forest to its former glory.

A Citizen’s Movement for Environmental Protection-‘Van Samman’ has evolved from a government campaign into a grassroots movement. People are actively participating in protecting the environment, emphasizing that forests are a shared responsibility.

Recognizing Unsung Heroes of Conservation- The campaign recognizes and honors individuals who have silently served environmental protection for years. By showcasing these role models, ‘Van Samman’ inspires others to join the cause of environmental protection.
