Raipur. After the release of notification for Raipur Lok Sabha elections on Friday, April 12, nomination papers will be available for sale in the Collectorate office, Raipur. Candidates contesting the elections will be able to submit their nomination papers to the District Election Officer by 19th April. After scrutiny of names on 20th April, withdrawal of names will be done by 22nd April. And on May 7, the third phase of voting will be held in Raipur district and the results can be announced by June 4.

According to the election rules, the age of the candidates contesting the Lok Sabha elections should be minimum 25 years. Nomination of candidates below this age will not be accepted. A candidate will be able to submit a maximum of 4 sets of nomination papers. Along with the nomination letter, the candidate will also have to attach his/her latest photograph. Along with the nomination letter, it will be mandatory for the candidate to also attach an affidavit in the prescribed format regarding his assets, liabilities and criminal antecedents.

According to the election rules, a candidate will be able to spend a maximum of Rs 95 lakh in his election within the election limit. Not only this, the candidate will also have to keep a complete account of his election expenses and will also have to give information about the expenses incurred in the election expenditure account from time to time.
