A new chapter of women empowerment will be written under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Indian women have been an important example of valor and courage from the beginning. The history of India is full of the courage of women. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the changing times, many important steps have been taken for the empowerment of women. In this sequence, the efforts to provide for the election of women to one-third of the seats in the Parliament and Legislative Assembly of India will be historic. A new chapter of women welfare and women empowerment will be written in the country in the coming two-three years under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the dialogue and honor program of girl students organized by the Higher Education and School Education Department at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal today. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that if we look at the history of India in the last 500 years, it has been full of the pride and bravery of women. He said that the 500th year of Rani Durgavati is going on. Today’s young generation should know about her bravery. Madhya Pradesh’s daughter Rani Durgavati fought 51 battles during her reign. Rani Durgavati defeated Akbar’s army thrice with full bravery. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also mentioned the bravery of the queen of Jhansi. Giving information about the governance of Devi Ahilya Bai, he said that during her tenure, Devi Ahilya Bai built huge temples in the country’s major religious places Somnath, Ujjain, Banaras. Her true devotion to religion is remembered with full respect.

Discussing the talent of the daughters of the state, Dr. Yadav said that our daughters have performed well in every field. Talented daughters have brought glory to Madhya Pradesh in the country and the world. The state government will leave no stone unturned for the welfare of the women and daughters of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav urged the girl students to take inspiration from the great women personalities of the country. Incorporate their ideals in their lives. Referring to Indian culture, he said that our culture is recognized as the best culture in the world.

Amount transferred to 19 lakh girl students

On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred an amount of Rs 57 crore 18 lakh to 19 lakh girl students under the Sanitation and Hygiene Scheme under Samagra Shiksha. Under this program, information is given to the girl students of schools and colleges about the importance of cleanliness and its measures. This scheme is being run under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan of the School Education Department. This year, this amount has been transferred to the girl students of class 7 to 12 for sanitary napkins. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 300 per girl student has been transferred to their bank account for one year.

Students tied Rakhi to the Chief Minister

Students presented a “huge Rakhi” to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. After this, the girl students also tied Rakhi to the Chief Minister. Dr. Yadav presented gifts to the girl students. The Chief Minister honored the girl students who led Madhya Pradesh in the Republic Day Parade New Delhi-2024 and National Service Scheme, and the girl students who topped in various faculties in the college. Along with this, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also honored the girl students who participated in the Youth Exchange Program. In the series of honors, talented girl students who secured first place at the state level in various faculties of the Class XII board examination were also honored. The Chief Minister also honored those girl students who performed best in international and national level competitions in sports activities.

In the beginning, Principal Secretary Higher Education Mr. Sukhveer Singh gave the welcome speech. He said that the Chief Minister has been emphasizing on making continuous efforts to improve the quality of college and school education. He informed that the quality of higher education in the state has been more than the national average. It has been decided to start Prime Minister of Excellence College in every district of the state.
