A freight train derailed in Chhattisgarh, with 22 of its carriages going off the tracks

Bilaspur: A freight train derailed near Bhanvartnak in Chhattisgarh. Upon receiving the news, the zonal station sounded the alarm three times, causing panic among officials. The accident damaged the track and high-tension line. Repair work is underway, which may take time. A freight train derailed on Tuesday on the Bilaspur-Katni railway line under the Bilaspur railway division of the South East Central Railway. The accident occurred around 11:11 am on Tuesday between Khongsara and Bhanvartnak stations, when 22 carriages of a long-distance freight train derailed. See the pictures of the accident below.
Some carriages overturned on the track. Due to this incident on the up line, operations on both up and down lines on this route have been disrupted. Repair work has been started.
