A candidate caught cheating with electronic devices in Deputy Engineer Recruitment Examination, FIR registered
Exam conducted under strict supervision of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, legal action continues by police in cheating case
Raipur, 13 July 2025 l A serious cheating case came to light in Examination Centre No. 1309 – Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Sarkanda, Bilaspur (CG) under the Deputy Engineer (Civil) and Deputy Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) Recruitment Examination conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, Raipur. Taking immediate cognizance of the information of suspicious activities by the candidate roll number 13091014 – Ms. Annu Surya, father – Kaleshwar Ram in room number 07, the examination room was searched. During the search, electronic devices like hidden camera and micro speaker were found hidden in the underwear of the said candidate, which were immediately seized.
Ms. present for assisting in cheating outside the examination centre premises. Walkie-talkie, tablet, Bluetooth device and mobile phone have also been recovered from Anuradha Bai. This was clearly an attempt to cheat through an organized electronic medium.
The administration has immediately prepared a cheating case as per rules and sent it to Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (Vyapam). Also, legal action has been initiated by informing the Sarkanda police station and registering an FIR. Appropriate legal action is being taken against the concerned persons.
The Professional Examination Board and the District Administration have taken this entire matter very seriously. To ensure fairness and transparency of the examination, a “zero tolerance policy” has been adopted on such incidents. In future also, strict action will be taken against any kind of unfair activities.
