 High-Stakes Poker Bust: Police Raid Luxury Farm House

A thrilling police raid uncovered a high-stakes gambling ring operating in a luxurious farm house.

The Bust-On Sunday, Bilaspur police swooped down on a farm house in the Kota police station area, uncovering a major gambling operation. Fourteen gamblers were caught red-handed at the farm house owned by Bunty Kashyap in Ajaypur. The raid sent shockwaves through the area.

 The Loot- The police seized a significant amount of cash (₹3,04,200), 17 mobile phones, and five luxury vehicles, including an Innova, Tiago, Baleno, Kia Seltos, and Vitara Brezza. The sheer opulence of the setup was like something out of a movie scene.

The Game- The gamblers were playing 52-card poker with high stakes. Police received a tip-off from an informant about the illegal operation at Bunty Kashyap’s farm house. A joint team from the ACCU and Kota police station, led by ASP Anuj Kumar, carried out the raid.

 The Arrests- While some gamblers managed to escape, 14 individuals, including Mishrilal Kashyap, Hari Om Sahu, Deepak Soni, Pradeep Pandey, and Sirish Kashyap, were arrested. They’ve been charged under the Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act of 2022, and further investigations are underway.

 The Aftermath-The raid has created a climate of fear among gamblers in the city. The incident highlights the prevalence of gambling in seemingly upscale locations. This decisive action by the Bilaspur police serves as a warning against such illegal activities.
