Randeep Hooda’s Savarkar shook the entire box office

The much-awaited biographical film “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” starring Randeep Hooda has taken a great start at the box office, earning Rs 1.10 crore in India on the first day and earning a staggering Rs 1.60 crore worldwide. The film’s exceptional performance on the first day was driven by huge footfalls, especially in Maharashtra, CP and Nizam belt, where it emerged as the highest-grossing film.

Despite regular ticket rates and advance bookings starting very late, the film received a phenomenal response, leading to an equally promising second day, which saw a significant increase in advance bookings. The overwhelming reception underlines the audience’s enthusiasm for the compelling storytelling and stellar performances.

The first day box office performance is similar to last year’s superhit “12th Fail”, which opened to similar numbers, though with a longer running time, lower screen count and a modest marketing budget, Randeep Hooda’s directorial debut has achieved better occupancy and is expected to follow the example of Vikrant Massey superhit.
