International news : India will provide assistance of Rs 10,000 crore to Bhutan in the next five years
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Bhutan. During this, he said that India will provide assistance worth Rs 10,000 crore to Bhutan in the next five years. The two sides signed several agreements to boost cooperation across a range of sectors, including energy, trade and space. PM Modi addressed the gathering here after receiving Bhutan’s highest civilian award, the ‘Order of the Druk Gyalpo’.
Modi also talked about the 13th Five Year Plan (FYP) of the Bhutanese government and said, “We will have our full support and cooperation.” He made this announcement in the presence of Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and other dignitaries.
