Rohit Sharma will be seen playing as a batsman in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Before IPL 2024, Rohit was relieved of the responsibility of captaincy by Mumbai Indians (MI). Mumbai Indians have made Hardik Pandya the captain in place of Rohit. Hardik was the captain of Gujarat Titans (GT) in the last two IPL seasons.

After assuming the captaincy of Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya participated in the press conference for the first time. During this, many questions were asked to Hardik and head coach Boucher.
