International News : Four agreements between India and Mauritius on President Murmu's visit

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, 14 community development projects implemented with Indian grant assistance were e-inaugurated following delegation level discussions between President Draupadi Murmu and the Mauritius PM during his three-day state visit to Mauritius.

‘In a significant agreement, GIFT International Financial Services Centers Authority of India and the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius have signed an MoU to promote cooperation in the financial services sector between GIFT City and FSC Mauritius,’ the Ministry of External Affairs posted on Signed.’

Furthermore, an MoU was signed between the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India and the Public Service Commission of Mauritius to share experience and expertise in recruitment for public services.

The two countries also agreed to a protocol to amend the India-Mauritius Double Tax Avoidance Agreement to bring it in line with OECD/G20 base erosion and profit shifting minimum standards.
