Cg news : Suspected Maoists killed a panchayat member of the BJP in Chhattisgarh’s 

Bijapur Superintendent of Police (SP) Chaudhary Yadav said Tirupathi Katla, a BJP member of the district panchayat, was killed when he was on his way to attend a wedding in Toynar village in the district. The incident occurred around 8:30 pm.He was taken to the district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the SP said.
Police said a search operation was underway in the area to ascertain the identity of the killers, Seven BJP leaders have been murdered in the Naxal-affected areas of the state in the last one year
