Mp News: Fencing players of Madhya Pradesh won silver medal in EP team event.

4G Khelo India University Games-2023 is being organized in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland and Tripura from 17 to 29 February, 2024. In the matches played today, one silver medal was won in fencing game and one bronze medal was won in judo game. On these achievements of the players, Sports Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang and Director Sports Dr. Ravikumar Gupta encouraged and congratulated the players.

Today, in the final match of EP men’s team event of fencing game, academy players Shankar Pandey, Bhavya Singh, Mohit Shriwas and Saurabh Mishra (Rabindranath Tagore University, Raisen) faced Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. In this exciting and tough final match, Rabindranath Tagore University EP men’s team had to be satisfied with the silver medal after losing to Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar by a close margin of 45-38.

Earlier, Rabindranath Tagore University EP men’s team defeated Panjab University Chandigarh badly by a margin of 45-23 in the quarter finals. Similarly, in the semi-final match, the team displayed good sportsmanship and defeated Bharatiya Vidyapeeth Pune by a margin of 45-25 and entered the final match.
